Janae Luchesi is an Orange County native who has been on a lifelong quest with her own mortality since she was 10 years old. She began mentoring under Dr. Andrea Deerheart and The HeartWay in 2021. She successfully completed The HeartWay's Level 1: Principles of End-of-Life Care & Level II: End-Of-Life Practitioner clinical Skills, totaling over 600 hours of hands-on education. Dr. Deerheart's extensive training and Internship requirement for certification fully equipped her to begin volunteering as an ELP and landed her in the loving hands of Salus Homecare as a Vigil Volunteer.
Janae worked with The HeartWay and Salus Homecare before launching her own private practice. She is passionate about her calling to lead clients to face their mortality with an open heart. She lovingly guides individuals and their families to overcome their fears of death, embrace the afterlife, and leads them to a beautiful understanding that a good death is not only a possibility, but a reality.
In her private life, Janae is the wife of her best friend of 16 years and the mother of two happy boys, two dogs, a cat and over 50 house plants. She is active in her church community as well as the communities in which her sons homeschool and play sports.
"Janae has served Salus Hospice patients and their families as a volunteer for years. She is a bright light, loving soul and guide to hold the hand of the dying and create a warm and loving space for families to spend what is often final moments with their loved one. Janae's passion and calling is taking the journey with those who are dying."

"Janae serves our patients and their families with the utmost care, compassion and dedication at a most needed time. Janae without question drops what she is doing to go out and provide compassionate care to patients in their last few days or hours. She is educated and experienced in providing therapeutic care that best suits the patient. With an open heart and mind she joins them on their final journey. She makes patients feel valued, validated, loved, at peace and that it's ok to be where they are at. I would personally welcome her into my home and family knowing we are in good dignifying hands".
